Description

500 ft spool of 14 AWG solid tracer wire in yellow, for locating buried gas lines (yellow is the APWA color code for gas). The wire itself is unused and the spool is full; it is sold as open box because the packaging is open and shows handling wear.

Condition notes (please look at the photos):

  • The plastic wrap on the spool is torn.
  • The yellow insulation has scuff marks and some small nicks on an outer loop.

Specifications (from the spool label):

  • 14 AWG, solid conductor
  • Yellow, 30 mil PE insulation
  • 500 feet on spool
  • Direct burial, 30V
  • UL Listed (UL file E488619), RoHS compliant
  • Part number: 1430PE61

Tracer wire is buried alongside a non-metallic pipe so the line can be found later with a locator. It carries a locator signal; it is not a power conductor.
